A company is looking for a Journeyman Contract Specialist to provide support for the procurement of goods and services for the Department of Veterans Affairs.Key ResponsibilitiesSolicit, evaluate, negotiate, and administer construction and Architect-Engineer (A&E) contractsSupport pre-award and post-award activities for construction and facility infrastructure projectsAdvise on contract awards, terminations, and closeouts in accordance with relevant regulationsRequired QualificationsMinimum of 4 years of federal contracting experience with a focus on Construction and/or A&E procurementsExperience administering construction and A&E contracts, including pricing and modificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited college or universityStrong knowledge of FAR and VAAR, particularly in construction and A&E-related partsExperience supporting federal facilities, infrastructure, or capital improvement projects is preferred
