Laborer – Alaska Projects (Per Diem Available)

Criterion General, Inc. is hiring Laborers to support active construction projects across Alaska. With over 30 years of experience delivering successful projects throughout the state, Criterion is known for maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and execution.

This role is essential to keeping projects moving efficiently in demanding environments. You will be part of a team that takes pride in doing the job right—supporting critical construction work that directly impacts Alaska's communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and accessible job sites, including snow removal and winter site conditions management
• Perform general labor, site maintenance, and cleanup to support daily operations
• Assist skilled trades and project crews with material handling and task execution
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and light equipment safely and effectively
• Follow all safety standards, OSHA requirements, and site-specific protocols
• Contribute to a productive, organized, and team-oriented work environment

Qualifications

• Ability to work 5–6 days per week in outdoor and physically demanding conditions
• Strong physical capability (lifting, carrying, climbing, prolonged standing)
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively within a team on active construction sites
• Prior construction or labor experience preferred but not required

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay based on experience
• Weekly payroll
• Per diem for qualifying out-of-town assignments
