Job Summary
The Business Analyst will provide business and technical support for Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM) initiatives focused on data governance, data quality, and issue management. This role supports both new projects and business-as-usual activities within a leading financial institution.
The analyst will work closely with data stewards, IT, and business partners to define data quality metrics, investigate data issues, and support governance and compliance requirements across risk-related programs.
Key Responsibilities
Liaise with data stewards, IT, and business teams to define and document data quality metrics.
Investigate data quality issues and collaborate with stakeholders to determine root causes.
Monitor adherence to data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
Support data lineage, metadata management, and data cataloging initiatives.
Assist with automation of data quality and governance controls as required.
Provide business and technical support for FCRM data governance and data quality control procedures.
Support senior leads on data issue analysis, control design, and governance activities related to compliance and risk projects.
Required Qualifications
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum 5 years of Business Analyst experience.
Hands-on experience with:
Data Governance
Data Lineage
SQL
Requirements gathering and reporting
Experience supporting data governance or data quality initiatives within banking or financial services, ideally in financial crimes or compliance environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
Experience with Microsoft Azure
Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA
Tableau or other reporting/visualization tools
