Description
Juneau Pools is looking to hire a permanent part-time Building Custodian to join their team.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORWe are looking for someone who is able to work independently, pays attention to detail, can reliably and consistently work overnights shifts, and has had success in keeping facilities clean and safe for patrons to use. Juneau's pools have up to 300 daily visits and keeping the facilities clean, safe, and presentable should be this individual's top priority. Being able to self-motivate and stay on task in important as this position works alone without anyone else in the facilities. This individual should be able to communicate clearly through email as this is the main form of communication with the supervisor.

WORKING HOURS AND LOCATION
This position works 9:30pm - 5:30am two nights per week at the Dimond Park Aquatic Center and 11:30pm - 5:30am two nights per week at the Augustus Brown Swimming Pool.
Typical Responsibilities
Under supervision from the Aquatics Manager, this position is responsible for the cleaning and minor maintenance of the Dimond Park Aquatic Center and Augustus Brown Swimming Pool. Typical duties include sweeping and mopping floors, washing windows, cleaning toilets, showers, and vanity areas in locker rooms and restrooms, dusting window sills and hard to reach areas, emptying trashcans, snow removal during winters, replacing paper and hygiene products, scrubbing and disinfecting locker room floors, picking up trach outside the facility, replacing light bulbs, and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
None
Experience:
Three months of janitorial and cleaning experience in commercial settings involving the use of special cleaning products such as sanitizing solutions and solvents, or carpet shampooing equipment.
NOTE:
Some positions may require an Alaska Driver's License at time of appointment and for continued employment.
