Summary: The University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) is recruiting for a Dual Enrollment Coordinator. This position will coordinate university-wide dual enrollment programming and initiate and foster relationships with high schools and other external stakeholders on dual enrollment issues. The Dual Enrollment Coordinator provides leadership, support, and coordination for dual enrollment programs, serving as a key liaison between the university and stakeholders to facilitate access to college-level coursework for secondary students. This role supports the universitys mission to expand educational pathways and workforce readiness across Southeast Alaska and, in addition to coordinating dual enrollment logistics, integrates academic advising best practices to ensure students receive holistic guidance throughout their educational journey. The role may involve travel within Alaska.
To thrive in this role, the successful candidate will be a collaborative leader who coordinates and supports UASs dual enrollment efforts across the state. Serving as the institutional lead, the coordinator builds the infrastructure and documentation necessary to ensure that dual enrollment programming is sustainable and scalable. They advise deans and university leadership on high-impact opportunities, drawing on enrollment trends, cost-benefit analyses, and the potential for student matriculation to guide decision-making. They evaluate tuition models, course formats, and delivery methods to expand access and improve efficiency for students and districts alike. They establish internal systems that connect UAS departments, instructors, and school district partners while maintaining a centralized knowledge base that houses policies, procedures, deadlines, and training resources. By conducting environmental scans of district needs and UAS capacity, the coordinator recommends targeted partnership strategies and course offerings. A commitment to continuous improvement drives their work, using data to identify inefficiencies, implement corrective measures, and refine operations. Finally, by creating templates, workflows, and providing regular updates, the coordinator promotes transparency and accountability, ensuring that dual enrollment practices are responsive, collaborative, and student-centered.
