The Payroll Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the Payroll Department, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees while maintaining compliance with applicable laws, policies, and union/personnel agreements. This role supervises payroll staff, manages payroll projects, and collaborates with HR, Finance, and other departments to continuously improve payroll processes. Additional collaboration with labor relations, Compliance, and outside vendors to include benefit providers and tax agencies. Highest level of decision-making authority: - Approve final payroll prior to distribution. - Determine payroll policy interpretations and applications. - Authorize corrections and adjustments outside standard procedures. - Recommend and implement process improvements and system upgrades.
