Join to apply for the Electrical & Instrumentation Technician role at Hecla Mining Company
As our electrical and instrumentation technician, you will troubleshoot, maintain, and install electrical and instrumentation equipment to keep our production going and our profitability up. Every day you will work at a mine on a remote island about 18 miles outside of Juneau, Alaska. Youll start every job with safety first by inspecting your workplace, and then installing, repairing, and removing electrical infrastructures. You will be called upon to assist in the planning of electrical and instrumentation jobs, including design, scheduling, and procurement. To thrive in this role, you must have experience working as an electrician and feel comfortable enough with electrical components that you know: not just how to set them up, but how to identify problems and fix them in real-time. Were on a remote island, you must know how to work independently.
