Job Overview: As a Lead Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting and expanding our Data & Analytics platforms that are essential for the Medical Segment's data-driven initiatives. You'll be responsible for setting the technical strategy and executing reliable and secure data solutions while actively informing our business partners of the health of our platforms and resolving issues promptly. Your expertise will be vital in data movement and database technologies that support robust analytics and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the technical strategy of our platform as tools, products, and business needs evolve.
• Establish and enforce standards for database management and data movement, including pipeline CI/CD processes and data container policies.
• Translate business needs into effective data analytics and reporting solutions.
• Ensure all technical specifications align with business requirements and design standards.
• Collaborate with external consultants and solution providers to foster product and solution development.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and status updates clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
• Propose innovative ideas for process and technical improvements.
• Maintain the integrity of data security standards, ensuring compliance with internal and external audits.
• Become a techno-functional expert on the solutions you help implement.
• Utilize strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Lead less experienced team members and external resources in problem-solving and project execution.
• Create best practices for solutions and tool frameworks, emphasizing consistency in data solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in relevant fields with expertise in data platforms such as GCP/AWS, HANA, BigQuery, Redshift, and Oracle.
• Deep understanding and implementation experience with Data Warehouse methodologies.
• Extensive knowledge of database design and modeling.
• Proficiency in BI Reporting tools (e.g., Business Objects, Tableau, Looker) and Data Discovery tools (e.g., Alteryx).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understand the financial implications associated with projects.
• Experience with large-scale implementation programs is preferred.
• Mandatory experience with SAP and integrations with SAP.

Compensation: Anticipated salary range: $121,600 - $173,100. Bonus eligible: Yes.
