Description:

We are seeking an exceptional Regional People Operations (HR) Generalist, US East & Canada, who is team-oriented, collaborative, and has Workday experience with high customer service standards. The Regional People Operations (HR) Generalist will support HR inquiries, benefits, payroll, and Workday system implementation for a go-live on 1.1.2026. Tasks include data analysis, extraction from legacy systems, Workday maintenance, and other related activities in alignment with ISP and school standards. This role supports our shared HR services inbox.

This individual must thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess Workday experience, and ensure a “white-glove” customer service experience for candidates and employees. Supporting People Operations (HR) Shared Services, the role manages up to 1,000 employees across multiple states and is growing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support HRIS platforms as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide excellent support for HR inquiries across disciplines—payroll, benefits, HRSIS updates.
  • Serve as a systems expert in Workday system maintenance and data updates.
  • Understand multi-state legal requirements.
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including references, background checks, onboarding, and safer recruitment processes.
  • Build candidate relationships during the selection process to ensure a positive experience.
  • Manage background checks via Sterling, including international police checks as applicable.
  • Support onboarding activities and maintain employee files according to standards.
  • Assist with I-9 completion and organization.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience in HR.
  • At least 5+ years of relevant HR experience.
  • Workday experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to foster trust.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Understanding of education industry ethos.

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $50,000 - $60,000 per year

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, weekends as needed
