The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Northern Region Highways and Aviation Valdez District is looking for a non-permanent full-time Equipment Operator Journey 2 to help us Keep Alaska Moving! What you will be doing: Equipment Operator Journey 2:Operate 8-yard dump trucks with plow, sander, and blade attachments for snow removal and aggregate hauling. Use motor graders for ditching, surface repair, and snow operations. Transport heavy equipment with semi-tractors, lowboys, belly dumps, and water tankers. Operate dozers (D 4D 7), loaders, and snow blowers for material handling and snow removal. Perform loader work in pits, snow dumping, and material loading. Handle general duties: flagging, maintenance, manual labor, and shop cleanup. May act as lead, entering daily data into the State MMS system. Operate steam boilers to thaw drainage structures.
