Job Overview
The Director, Advanced Analytics-New Products/Innovation will be responsible for analytics related to pre-launch pipeline assets as well as new on-market product indications.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze market size, growth trajectories, competitive landscapes and unmet needs to develop a compelling value proposition for pre-launch pipeline assets and new indications for on-market products.
Develop robust forecasts for market performance and prepare for multiple future scenarios to ensure adaptability and resilience.
Lead the development and execution of advanced analytics strategies to support business performance, competitive advantage, and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
Understand complex business problems and formulate integrated analytical approaches to mine data sources.
Developing and implementing algorithms, predictive models and various analytical methods such as machine learning to forecast trends, optimize resource allocation, and predict patient behaviors or outcomes.
Identify opportunities to leverage data and analytics to drive innovation, develop new analytics capabilities and models, and optimize processes for efficiency and time reduction.
Serve as subject matter expert for advanced analytics across the Commercial Analytics & Field Strategy function.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
Ability to extract actionable insights from complex data sets
Proficient at communicating complex data analysis in a clear and compelling narrative
Excellent at building trusted partnerships
Expertise in advanced modeling techniques and how to apply them
Expertise in analytical programing languages (R, Python, SQL, SAS, SPSS, Sawtooth, Latent Gold, etc.)
Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI, etc.)
Basic understanding of project management
Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with leadership across sales and marketing functions and present complex insights effectively to diverse audiences
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs and priorities
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, Business Administration, a quantitative social science, applied statistics, or a related field
MBA, MS, or other advanced degree is preferred. Continuing methodological education is desired.
Minimum 10 – 15 years (w/o Masters) or 8 – 12 years (with Master's) of relevant experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on data analytics, and insights
12+ years of domain expertise in data analytics, or other related strategic analytics
Proven track record of enabling data-driven decision-making at a senior leadership level
Strong analytical background, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex and dynamic data sets into actionable insights and aligning them with business priorities to drive impactful results
The base salary range for this role is $166,560 to $208,200. Base salary is part of our total rewards package which also includes the opportunity for merit-based salary increases, short incentive plan participation, eligibility for our 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances and leaves provided in line with your work state. Our robust time-off policy includes flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays plus additional time off for a shut-down period during the last week of December, 80 hours of paid sick time upon hire and each year thereafter. Total compensation, including base salary to be offered, will depend on elements unique to each candidate, including candidate experience, skills, education and other factors permitted by law.
