Learn more about ACC at www.alaskacommercial.com .AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:You are the subject matter expert for your Category and build plans around category product, promotion, and placement to drive financial performanceBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure the most favorable terms, costs, products, and quality of goods for ACC and our customersDevelop a connection with the remote communities AC serves through in-community work experience to create customer-centered business plansDevelop market data and use consumer behavior to find innovative ways to drive performance in your categoryDevelop plans with measurable objectives that include advertising, in-store specials, and special buysSet the initial sales, gross profit, and inventory forecasts used in developing the final operating budget and develop plans to achieve annual budgetsWork with Merchandising Services to monitor and recommend pricing,stock levels that deliver on category performanceProvide advice to Operations on Category opportunitiesProvide leadership and management of initiatives to the department's Category AssistantJOB EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum five [5] years' experience in category management is required and/or:Must have a post-secondary education (Bachelor's or Master's degree) in Commerce, Marketing, or Supply Chain Management.
