Job Details

Under the general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, performs skilled work at the journeyman level in several trade or craft areas in maintaining hospital buildings, equipment and grounds. Must be a self-starter able to work independently from written or oral instructions. At this level, incumbents must have a basic knowledge of all BRH building systems as well as all equipment used to complete assigned tasks, establishing and carrying out repair and preventative maintenance schedules. In addition, they are required to be available to work On Call off duty hours, weekends and holidays to meet emergency, winter snow removal and seasonal job demands. Minimum Qualifications for the Job:Education: High School diploma or the equivalent. Note: Completion of an accredited trade or vocational school with courses in mathematics, blue print reading and mechanical drawing preferred.
