The Office of the Governor, Division of Administrative Services, is recruiting for an Administrative Support Specialist! Key Responsibilities
Accounting and fiscal management – process accounts payable, back up to payroll and procurement.
Serve as the Records Officer for the Office of the Governor. The Records Officer is the liaison between the Records & Information Management Services Office and all agencies within the Office of the Governor.
Responsible to ensure records are stored and transferred to archives annually and keeps internal files up to date.
Serves as backup to the mailroom.
Desired Qualifications
A courteous and professional demeanor with excellent customer service.
Experience in IRIS, the State of Alaska system for accounting or another accounting system, financial, procurements, payroll and human resource management is preferred but not required.
Ability to adapt and function independently and cooperatively in a professional, fast-paced working environment.
Ability to perform research tasks.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with others.
Ability to multi-task.
General knowledge of office procedures, organization and filing systems.
Knowledge of office equipment including scanners, copiers, fax machines, printers.
Experience with some or all Windows PC Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
A high school diploma or the equivalent
