FT I: Under direct supervision, this position represents the entry/trainee level and is designed to introduce Bartletts procedures, standards, and policies related to collections. The employee receives training in at least one specialty insurance and is responsible for contacting and collecting payments directly from patients, setting up and processing payment plans, and performing a variety of patient accounting related tasks in the collections office in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for sending out patient statements and printing bills when necessary. BRH Fiscal Technician I is responsible for effective communication both personally and via telephone/fax/computer with the public and other hospital departments. This is a flexibly classed series requiring incumbents to advance to the Fiscal Technician II to III level.
