SWCM I: Within the Case Management Department this position provides social work and discharge planning in predictable situations using established policies, procedures, ACMA guidelines, and NASW code of ethics. This position requires direct to regular supervision, but is able to recognize attributes (i.e., isolated traits, objective measures or tasks) of a social work situation without situational experience. This position may participate in other hospital committees and teams as appropriate. Incumbents working at this level are generally assigned to one area of the hospital. This is the trainee/entry level with direct supervision from an experienced Case Manager. Assignments are meant to orient the incumbent to BRH Case Management services, protocols, techniques, and allow for on-the-job training in preparation to advance to the journey level.
