This position provides clinical and medication administration to residents and clinical support to the care teams. It overlooks an area known as the Park Strip with views of the Chugach Mountains easily visible from most floors of the home. This position works under the direction of a registered nurse as part of our direct care staff and is responsible for providing assistance and personal care to the residents living in the home.Who We Are Looking For: Position-specific knowledge, skills and abilities that are desired or contribute to the success in this position:Considerable knowledge and skill of the principles and practices of nursing, behavior, and needs of patients.Ability to observe and evaluate reactions and changes in the physical behavioral and mental condition of patients and to think and act quickly in emergencies.Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients.Ability to administer treatments and medications and observe for and report adverse reactions.Ability to maintain records and to prepare clear, concise reports.Other Job InformationThis position is in support of the Pioneer Home, which is a 24-hour facility.This Pioneer Home is an Eden Alternative facility, where the environment includes contact with plants, flowers, and pets including cats, dogs, fish and birds.Employees of the Pioneer Home receive continual screening for tuberculosis and criminal history.A cover letter is not required for this position .
