The Support Services Division is the cornerstone of DNR, with the Administrative Officer 2 playing a crucial role in delivering consistent, high-quality service to both internal and external customers. This position is responsible for managing and performing budget projections for SSD components, tracking and reviewing all departmental restriction waivers (including hiring, travel, and purchases) for accuracy and completeness, and liaising with multiple sections of the Governor's Office. Additionally, this role supports the DNR Admin Chiefs group by ensuring that timely and accurate guidance and training are accessible to more than 50 members across various platforms, including Teams and the intranet. The Administrative Officer 2 also ensures that adequate resources and support are available in Juneau for the DNR Commissioner's Office staff and the Administrative Services Director during the legislative session. Each day in this role is unique, offering endless opportunities to learn from subject matter experts in fiscal, procurement, budget, and administrative fields!
