  • Qualifications:
    A high school diploma or equivalent. Two years of related work experience may be considered in lieu of the education requirement.
    One year of food service experience in general food preparation, proper food handling, food safety, and sanitation.
    Proficiency in cashiering and Microsoft Office.
    Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
    Must attend the four-hour ASD Serving It Safe food safety course and pass the exam within 21 days of hire.
    Knowledge of pre-plate and centralized food preparation and delivery (preferred).
    Experience with food service point of sale and inventory systems (preferred).
    Previous food service manager experience (preferred).
  • Essential Job Functions:
    Manage food and supply inventories, ordering, production records, cash handling, bank deposits, and paperwork submission.
    Ensure timely preparation of lunches for students.
    Monitor and record kitchen equipment temperatures and food safety according to HACCP.
    Maintain sanitation and food safety standards.
    Resolve complaints and communicate concerns.
    Understand USDA and State meal guidelines.
    Maintain NSLP compliance and accurate records.
    Organize and assign work to kitchen staff.
    Plan and make decisions independently in a fast-paced environment.
    Follow district policies and procedures.
    Supervise student aides.
    Establish positive relationships with students, staff, and the community.
  • Physical/Mental Demands:
    Frequent standing, walking, sitting, speaking, and hearing. Ability to lift less than 40 lbs. Handle conflict, make decisions under pressure, and manage stress effectively.
  • Work Environment:
    Professional setting with diverse individuals. Exposure to outdoor weather and moderate noise levels.
  • Additional Information:
