The Department of Corrections, Division of Institutions, is recruiting for a Food Service Lead position, at the Goose Creek Correctional Center (GCCC) located in Mackenzie Point, Alaska. Watch Alaska DOC's video here: Facilities 30 Second Cut What You Will Be Doing:As a Food Service Lead with Goose Creek Correctional Center, you will:Direct kitchen staff, including Food Service Journey employees and inmate workers, in the preparation and production of meals for up to 1,500 inmates. Ensure stock is pulled for the daily pre-set menus and ensure medically prescribed diets are properly prepared for each meal service. Direct the production and preparation of all bakery items. Oversee and instruct kitchen staff in the areas of cooking, baking, sanitation, nutrition, and portion control.
