The Security Escort monitors and escorts uncleared workers in restricted areas and facilities.
This project offers the opportunity to work with a motivated team in a challenging location to complete major upgrades to the mechanical cooling system of an operational Government facility. Located on Shemya Island, this challenging location requires the ability to be forward thinking and self-managing with the skills necessary to meticulously plan and prepare for upcoming construction activities. The ability to work with a diverse team and communicate with subcontractors, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers representatives, and end users is paramount.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Escort uncleared workers, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain required logs and access forms.
- Conduct facility checks, including walking through the facility.
- Ensure sub-contractor and vendor compliance with facility requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS Required
- 2 years of related experience working security, access control, or another related field.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any security clearances required to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Ability to work outdoors in inclement conditions.
- Ability to work overtime as needed, including work on weekends and holidays.
Preferred
- Prior experience as a security escort on a government installation.

The work environment is in a busy construction setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually varies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and may be required to travel in small and large commercial aircraft.
